Michelle V. Stallings

Associate

I’ve found that practicing law is similar to being a physician or a teacher. To improve your craft, you must be a lifelong learner, open to new ideas and methods. As attorneys, we are expected to research statutes and regulations, and analyze new court decisions, but often our greatest instructor is our clients. They teach us about their day-to-day activities, their policies and procedures, and accompanying jargon which seems like an entirely new language. Each matter is different, and a new opportunity to learn more. The knowledge our clients impart to us is a valuable asset in applying the facts to the existing law, or distinguishing their claim in order to demonstrate why a different result is merited.”
